Suggestions for Framimg Oddly Sized Art?

I bought this vintage 20X24 print (the first of a series) a few weeks ago.  I was hoping to find a great frame and post some photos of it on our walls but no such luck.  This print is homeless and frameless and needs your help.  Ikea, Michael's (and so far, treasure hunting) have all failed to yield results.  Any ideas for a great (affordable) frame?

Not quite as vivid as this pic - more subdued

  1. I don't have any suggestions, but I'll be checking back to see if anyone else comes up with something. I can't tell you how many times I've had to bite the bullet and pay for custom framing. I'd love to know an affordable alternative.

  3. Thanks Dora!

Dana, I too have had to go the custom framing route so many times. Now I even measure to make sure the piece I am buying is a "standard" size but because this is pretty sizable I am STILL having zip luck. My plan of attack is to check out the mass produced art at a store like Homesense (what is the American equivalent?) and maybe pilfer a frame. That is how we got the giant frame in our hallway - we bought a cheap piece of "art" from a furniture store just for the frame.

    I'll keep you posted.

  6. Pink Tulip, you are too kind.

You know, I really feel out of the loop sometimes because I don't have facebook - not for the blog and not for personal use. I am on the fence about that method of communication, and I absolutely dislike the brand of facebook. I don't like the purpose for its creation, I don't like the kids who created it, I don't like how it is operated and I hate that I had to either sign up or lose friends (which happened). For now, I like just blogging. But we'll see, maybe one day I will change my mind . . .
