Mug Love

It is getting chillier and chillier here in Ontario, so I’ve been leaning on my good friends loose-leaf tea and hot chocolate (Hubby doesn’t understand the purpose of marshmallows.  We are so different).  You know many of our paintings were made by Hubby’s grandfather, see more on that here, and we also have some of my mom’s prints hanging about, plus my grandpa’s sculptures and even a few of Hubby’s mom’s paintings.  We know we are super lucky to have such an artistic family and we hate to brag, but we recently received another gift from a family artist.  Hubby’s aunt, click here for her website, sent us a set of one-of-a-kind mugs she made:

Reed Weir Pottery Mugs

Reed Weir Pottery Mug

It has taken me awhile to photograph them because since we received the package in the mail, there has always been one in use.  I cleared out space immediately in the cupboard and they are now my officially our favorites.

Don’t ask about the elephants.
Least practical teapot ever.  Hoping to phase them out.

And yes, that’s a knit mouse.

tanya, i had to 'unfollow' you from my site, so if you happen to get a msg saying that, don't be alarmed. blogspot was giving me a hard time over following people, so i simply cancelled them all and added them to the list on my page instead!

I wouldn't be hiding them away in the cupboard! You must leave one on the counter at all times so that you can smile at it every time you walk in the room!

They're so beautiful! I love natural pottery. And, on the other end of the spectrum, I love the big mugs in the picture with the mouse too.

mmm… I love home-made hot cocoa and enjoy it daily in the winter. And it's not possible to have a cup without marshmallows! 🙂

Wow! That is one super artistic family! The mugs are beautiful, I just love the shape of them and the pretty designs etched into them, perfect for hot chocolate and marshmellows 🙂

Dana: I can't speak for Hubby, but many of my family members are available for rent (or forever). Sadly, not the artistic ones. But I am running a two-for-one special.Meghan: Yes! Another marshmellow vote!
