I’m sneaking in this easy, last minute holiday craft: DIY mini pom pom garland, perfect for adding a dose of festive happiness to your favorite house plants! Because everyone decorates their house plants for Christmas…right?
When I made the cute felted wool ball garland for my mantle – to complement my blue and white, wintry decor – I started dreaming about making a mini pom pom garland version for my sweet tree-shaped lavender plant. A quick trip to the dollar store and I had the supplies I needed. It was so easy to make and this DIY mini pom pom garland is every bit adorable as I thought it would be.

How to Make DIY Mini Pom Pom Garland:
Making this pom pom garland for my plant was SO easy! I literally just strung the little pom poms onto a glittering thread, tied off the ends, and then draped it gently on my lavender plant. The shimmery gold thread has a nice texture to it, which keeps the balls from sliding around. They stay put, even without knotting in between – which saves a ton of time. It was an even easier project than my DIY felted wool ball garland because for those I actually spent the time and hand felted each of the woollen balls. If you can buy inexpensive pom pom balls, this potted plant garland is a snap to make!
I’m still loving my table top case study planter from Modernica, so I’m really rootin’ for my lavender plant. Please live! It’s a finicky little fella, that’s for sure. Hopefully he’s not offended by the adornment, but I think he just looks so festive with his little garland. Next I need to make little mini ornaments, but that might have to wait until next year.

Oooo, heated seats! That's so nice!We got snow, then it melted, then everything froze so it was definitely pretty wintry here. I spent a few days in town and when I finally got home, I just powered through the snowbank in my truck to get into my driveaway. I'm in, but I'll need to log some time with the snowblower if I want to go anywhere, haha. So happy to hear your had a nice Christmas!
