I am having a bit of an art dilemma in the townhouse. We have quite a few new pieces to hang, so we’re totally re-thinking every inch of wall space! We’ve dismantled much of the townhouse and are currently running up and down stairs carrying paintings and pillows, trying to make everything fit and flow. Some serious redecorating happening here!
In the mean time, I still want to make art from some of the stamps I bought and now I am smitten with these framed agates. I’d never pay that much (these ring in at $375.00 each), but I’m thinking some gift shop agates, Ikea frames and a date with a glue gun might produce lovely results. But then where would I put them???
UPDATE: see my DIY agate here!! They turned out better than I ever could have imagined – and for a fraction of the price.
Oh those are nice! We have a bunch of stones that my husbands great-grandfather collected (like literally from the earth, himself) and we just have them stored in lined boxes. This might give me some motivation to actually display them!
I LOVE the idea of hanging rocks and stones. I also have a collection in a glass display case, but am always looks for new ideas for display. My rocks: http://dans-le-townhouse.blogspot.ca/2012/11/see-rocks-that-i-got.html
These are awesome but SO expensive! Enjoy trying to find places for all the pretty, shiny things!! 🙂
Ridiculously expensive, right? But such a great idea and so DIYable. I am still trying to make things work . . . too few walls in this tiny house.
