Personalized Stickers (for Kids + Adults) by Colle à Moi (Stick 2 Me)

This post is sponsored by Colle à Moi (Stick 2 Me), a Canadian company that makes washable, personalized stickers with beautiful designs.  All opinions are my own.

It’s back to school season and I can barely believe it!  Is it just me, or are the summers getting shorter?  I’m still very much in summertime mode (and Hubby is currently on summer vacation!), but I know that many of my readers are headed back to work and getting kiddos ready for school, so I wanted to tell you about a product that will make that transition a little easier (and more fun).

Personalized Labels for Kids:

If you have little ones getting their school supplies ready for the year, I have the neatest product that I wanted to introduce you to: Colle a moi is a Canadian company that makes customized stickers to help kids identify backpacks, clothes, lunches, toys – you name it!  These durable and beautiful stickers are dishwasher and microwave safe, water proof – and you can even put them in the washer and dryer.  So once you label something, it will stay labelled!

Personalized Labels for a Business:

Many of you know that Hubby and I don’t have kids, so at first I questioned how I’d be able to use these beautiful stickers myself.  I’m pretty good at remembering where I put my things (although I did lose a sweatshirt for a few weeks, that I only just found yesterday when we drove my in-laws to dinner – it was found crammed in the backseat of the truck, lol).  So maybe I could use some name labels on my things!  But I decided to go a different route: these labels can be customized in any way (although there’s a max. number of characters) – so I had some made up with the word “handmade”.

Why? Because I’m so close to launching a line of handmade and hand dyed textiles!!!

Surprise!  I’ve been trying to keep this a secret, but I have been so eager to tell everyone!  It’s been difficult to find time to sew, in between other projects and running Dans le Lakehouse, but I have been slowly amassing a beautiful stack of one-of-a-kind textiles.  I promise to share the full scoop soon.  This is such a tease, I know.

I had been struggling for a way to package them, when I realized that a simple tissue paper wrap with a “handmade” sticker and some pretty ribbon would be the perfect way.  I can slip this into a waterproof mailer and it’s ready to be shipped.

The stickers come in different themes, and there just happened to be a nautical theme – which was really perfect for me!  All of my designs are inspired by life on the lake.

Personalized Labels For Adults & Around the House:

Although the designs are intended for kids, they’re sophisticated enough to be used for adults too!  Slap them on your gym bag or gym clothing, because they can go right through the wash.  Use them to label your lunch or office supplies at work.  Label favorite books so when you loan them out, you can get them back.  They can go through the dishwasher, so label Tupperware or casserole dishes with your name, so when you bring something to a potluck, you get your dish back!

Honestly, once I started thinking about ways that adults could use these too, I realized they are really practical for the whole family.

Each booklet came with different sizes and shapes, to make it easy to find the right sticker for each item.  Check out the website: Colle à moi (Stick 2 me) for more information and to see how easy it is to order.  These can even be used for fundraising activities (so much healthier than selling chocolate!).

Hopefully you’re able to find a use for these customizable stickers around the house (I’d love to hear your suggestions!) – and stay tuned for the official launch of my handmade textiles shop!

Will this product adhere to woven or knitted fabric? I’ve been looking for something simple to put into handmade gifts (hand wash only! or… gentle machine wash, dry flat!) These are pretty stickers, but I’m wondering whether they would make a noticeably stiff place in the fabric. I’ll go to the website and look around, but if you already know how it works, Tanya, I’d be glad to hear your thoughts.

Good question! They are meant to go inside kid’s clothes, so they can handle the washing machine and knit fabrics. But they’re not super soft, like a fabric label is. But they are much softer than an ordinary sticker. To test, I just put one of the small, rectangular ones inside my t-shirt to see, lol. I can’t feel it, but it’s also very small. I can scrunch and fold up the fabric and the sticker scrunches with it. From the outside, it’s a little noticeable that there’s a sticker there, because it’s supporting the fabric a bit and the knit t would droop more on its own. I have extras, I can always mail you a couple!

Thanks so much for this generous offer, Tanya! Yes, please, I’d love to try just one or two of the stickers to see if they’ll work on knitted fabric. The designs are beautiful. I’ll PM you my address.
