Coastal Bedroom Decor I’m Loving Right Now

I’m so excited to share the coastal bedroom decor I’m loving right now. Fall is around the corner, so it’s time to make my home as summery and coastal as possible, lol. I want to hang onto those summer vibes. Sure, I’ll add some pumpkins and whatever, but I’ve also lightened up my furniture a little and I’m planning to add some new beachy pillows in the living room. I LOVE summer; I live for summer and I only tolerate the other four seasons here (fall, winter, second-winter, spring). This year, more than ever, I’m focused on making my home a little oasis and while last year I really embraced the seasons, this year I decided I want to keep the summery vibes going. We can’t travel anywhere warm, so I’m bringing that vacation feeling into my home. If you’re craving some modern coastal home decor and want to create a little oasis in your bedroom too, I rounded up some pretty bedroom finds from AllModern. From a gorgeous upholstered bed I’m loving, to beautiful coastal textiles, here are some pieces I love.

Coastal Bedroom Decor PiecesCoastal Striped Bedding

I’m super obsessed with stripes right now. I added some aqua and white striped towels to the bathrooms for summer, and recently added an organic striped rug to the dining room. I’m toying with striped bedding for the bedroom and I love the Eleonora striped bedding sets because they’re super affordable and 100% cotton. Plus the stripe has a little interest – it’s not just a plain stripe, it has some texture and an organic quality.

Modern Walnut Dresser

I’m really in love with this Marcel double dresser. The clean lines with the mid-century modern inspired drawer fronts work perfectly in the walnut. I think this dresser has sort of a California cool vibe that pairs well with more coastal home decor. I can’t give up my love for MCM!

Sage Green Upholstered Bed

If I didn’t already have a super cool DIY bed, I’d be ordering this upholstered bed! The soft grey/green color looks like an exact match to my green accent walls and I love the fabric, which has a hand dyed, shibori vibe. Plus this bed is handcrafted in Illinois! As much as I love striped bedding, I’d pair this bed with off-white linen bedding for a softly crumpled look.

Turquoise Wool Rug

If my dogs wouldn’t ruin wool rugs, I’d buy this turquoise wool rug in a heartbeat for the dining room or bedroom. It’s hand tufted wool, and the soft watery color palette paired with the striped pattern is TOTALLY my jam right now. Someone please buy it and send me photos so I can live vicariously through you.

Textured White Nightstand

Okay, so I love a good bedroom furniture set, but the trend is to mix and match so I chose this white nightstand because the drawers are practical, the shape is a little mid-century modern, but the texture and the white finish have a definite beach house vibe. It would lend a little cottage crispness to any bedroom.

Rattan Chair

Nothing says “coastal” like a cool rattan chair! I love this casual rattan chair for tucking into the corner of a bedroom – and the solid ash wood frame comes in a natural or walnut finish, so it could coordinate with that dresser I’m drooling over. The handmade paper-cord rattan looks so pretty and I’m thinking I need some rattan in my life.

Gauzy Throw

Until my heavy wool blanket gets pulled out for winter, the bed is just calling for a gauzy throw. My DIY ice dyed throw was tucked away this year – I think it’s a bit too much with my new teal rug – but now I feel like the bed is looking empty so I’m thinking of adding something super thin and gauzy, in a solid color, like this cotton-linen throw in a soft grey green color. I love the way it drapes and it can double as a wrap.

Teal Table Lamp

So the funny thing is that almost all of my table lamps are white! Bedroom: white. Dining room: white. Office: white. The living room boasts some gorgeous blue vintage lamps but only because I stole them from my Mom! But if I was lamp shopping right now, I’d pick these bold teal table lamps because I love the simple shape and the textured design in a sea-inspired hue. These are an investment, to be sure, but I’ve had my dining room lamps and bedroom lamps since our last house, so definitely coming up on 10 years – if not more! A good table lamp is versatile and a worthy investment because it’s a beautiful way to add a lot of interest and coziness.

Ivory & Turquoise Rug

I’ve included a second rug in my round up because I couldn’t resist this power loomed polypropylene blend rug. Do I prefer the wool one? Definitely. Do I think this one will resist puppy stains better? Yup! Sometimes synthetic is the way to go because it resists stains. This ivory and turquoise rug has a boho vibe with coastal colors so I think it can work well in transitional decor – plus it’s a pretty good price.

Textured Throw Pillows

I watched a really good, bad movie the other day, called Love at the Shore. It’s a Hallmark movie that was strangely addictive because the acting wasn’t bad, the leading man was pretty dreamy, but the DECOR is what I loved! The set was a real life beach house, which I have photos of pinned a million times on Pinterest, so I was drooling each time the camera panned to the turquoise kitchen appliances, two story deck, and casual coastal living spaces. It was primarily decorated with lots of white and aqua (check), but there was also a lot of cream and sand colored textiles, probably linen, to keep the bright white decor from feeling too sterile. I was frantically taking notes and this cotton geometric pillow would fit right in. It has a beautiful cotton fabric that feels casual but coastal thanks to the sand-inspired colors and the interesting texture. It has an organic/natural quality to it that would look good paired with aquas and blues. (Plus it’s on sale right now and the insert is included!). Looking for something bolder? I love the blue color palette on this eye catching throw pillow, which features some of the different moody shades of blue Lake Superior can be.

Here’s a look at all of my picks together – I kind of think I’d love all of these coastal bedroom decor pieces in one room! I’m loving the vibe because it’s so calming and coastal – you could seriously turn your bedroom into a vacation destination with even just some of these finds. Lighten up bedding, add a few fresh textured pieces, and a couple pops of blue – and helllloooo bedroom oasis!
